    I practiced real estate law for 20 years and now as a Realtor I see FSBO’s making mistakes all the time to their detriment. Honestly, sometimes real estate agents are not any better at marketing. The only thing I can do to help is to educate. Any suggestions?

    There are many of FSBO websites out there, list yours in the one that fits your budget and doesn’t have any hidden fees.

    I agree that nobody knows a home better than the seller. The problem most FSBO sellers face is generating exposure. The best solution for this is to find a FSBO marketing service that can help generate exposure. Do not just choose any FSBO marketing service. Choose a service that will generate the best exposure. As a FSBO seller I would start by marketing my home on as many FREE FSBO websites as possible because many FSBO websites share data.

    Once you place your home on the numerous websites available you must be ready to answer the phone all the time.

    Every road has it’s potholes but you can get to the end just the same. Of course home sellers should do their homework and even have a “team” that can help them through the paperwork. They don’t have to make mistakes if they do their homework.
    Exposure is the key and no one site can give you all the exposure you need these days. Look to a site that offers to put you on multiple sites, the more the better.
